January 4, 2003 - Roof Framing: The dormer is framed and the roof is almost complete. The entry is looking great!. The entry porch roof will be an open cathedral ceiling when you stand under it. The face of the gable will be built as a wall and sided with vinyl shakes. The view into the living room from the second floor. The trapizoids look nice and fit the room. The ceiling will be a cathedral over the center of the tallest trap. Lakeside. Really nice. The pull-down stair. The option for access to the area was limited at best. This is the best solution in getting to the space. The first picture is looking at the pull-down stair from the living room along side the stair to the second floor. January 1, 2003 - Framing: The rafters are being placed and the main center beam is almost set. We placed a temporary floor at the second floor to set our scaffold on to work on the beam.. The lakeside of the house is taking shape. The trapizoid glass openings at the living room have been framed. Happy New Year! December 27, 2002 - Framing: We have started the roof framing with the roof rafters. The deck has started and the screen porch is taking shape. The bonus room above the master bedroom is very large and will make a great storage area. December 21, 2002 - Framing: The second floor level is on. The weather has been working with us and we have not had to much problem with the snow at this time. The Flu that has been going around has not been so kind. The floor system is TJI engineered floor joist. Main Floor framing. The grading has been done at the septic tank / field at the road edge. This has filled in the depression that was at the side of the drive. December 12, 2002 - Framing: The main floor exterior walls are completed and the house is taking shape.
December 11, 2002 - Framing: The floor framing is complete and we are cutting all the components to build the main floor walls at this time. The walls of the main floor should be completed in the next day. The lake is frozen over and Winter has begun. |
