Roof sheathing being installed....and rain!!!

Wednesday April 12, 2006 - The roof sheathing has started to be installed but so have the rains. 

Looking at the stairs to the master bedroom.    the living room and dining room  Looking at the entry.  The roof sheathing is being installed at the main roof of the cottage

 

Main Roof Rafters

Tuesday April 11, 2006 - The roof rafters are almost complete at the main roof of the living room area. 

The rafters have started over the entry/living room. The orange rafters are the beams required to work with the skylights.  Looking at the entry door and the skylights that are above at the ridge line.  Looking at the lake side windows in the living room and the skylights above.  Looking toward the kitchen and dining area.  looking thru the wall of the den and seeing the skylights at the ceiling. 

 

The size of the room is really taking shape.

More framing

Wednesday  April 4, 2006 - This week the weather has not been as cooperative.  We have had snow, sleet, rain and wind that have made progress slower this week.  The roof at the tub room is almost complete and the feel of the house is taking shape.

       

The roof involves the placement of the sub fascia and then the roof sheeting.  The lower roof is now complete.

 

The framing for the skylights in the tub room shows how the skylights will look.  This is going to be a great space.
